Our reaction to the United States leaving the Paris Agreement

After Trump announced that he wants to pull the United States out of the Paris Agreement, like many others, we were very disappointed.

What is unique about the Paris Agreement is not how bold it is about climate action. It’s actually not that bold, but it is a sign of a basic commitment from countries to take action. We found the sheer number of countries coming together on one issue to be incredible. We also found the relationship between the United States and greenhouse emissions even more dramatic. If the United States contributed very little to global warming, it wouldn’t have been significant, but the reality is that the United States is the second most polluting country in the world in relation to global warming.

We wanted to do something, so we created a website to highlight the issues and encourage people to join us in supporting nonprofit organizations that are doing measurable work.

We called the website:

which-countries-signed-paris-agreement.com

As a creative digital agency, we collaborate with nonprofits on strategy, design, web development, and storytelling in order to help them grow their positive impact. We hope that whatever your expertise may be, that you can support, financially or with your skills, to help good organizations reverse what Trump is destroying.

Nonprofit organizations working to protect the environment:

  1. Environmental Defence Fund

  2. 50/50 Climate Project

  3. The Nature Conservancy

  4. Natural Resources Defense Council

  5. Sierra Club

  6. Trust for Public Land

  7. Union of Concerned Scientists

  8. 350.org

Know of an organization we should add to the list and invite people to support? Email or tweet us their name.
