The Equitable Resilience Portal is a new resource for researchers and community organizers to address social inequities as a result of climate change. The new entity benefited from an experimental brand identity and visual system that invites its users to think creatively about innovative solutions that encourage participation and action.

Given the transformative and ever shifting challenge of climate change from one community to the next over time, Madeo explored an interactive approach that invites users to experience transformation through participation. A simple act of simply scrolling down the page reveals and transforms simple lines and shapes into new ones. This creative and perhaps optimistic approach, to tackle the daunting issues associated with climate change more playfully is unexpected, but perhaps needed to invite participants to engage, create, and innovate what doesn’t exist today.

The website also acts as a valuable resource for researchers, inviting them to submit their case studies and showcases so many from around the world. Case studies span from Puerto Rico to Thailand, Philippines, Istanbul, and Jordan. The case studies further inspire, educate, and accelerate the positive influence they can have on other experts.
