About the Opportunity

We’re seeking experienced designers to join our growing team on a part-time contract basis, at least to start. This is an opportunity to work alongside a close-knit, mission-driven team on meaningful design work with the potential to grow into a longer-term engagement or possibly full-time role depending on designers’ availability and capacity on the team.

We are hiring for two types of design roles: You can select one or both in the application as your area of expertise. There is no expectation that one designer has to fulfill both roles.

Graphic Designers: You would work on design for brand identities, social media, email campaigns, and other digital communications. There are opportunities to work on individual projects or contribute your design expertise to select ongoing client relationships. We are prioritizing mid-level to senior designers for this role.

UX/UI Designers (Websites): You would work on website redesigns for organizations, online reports, and microsites for nonprofit organizations and social impact campaigns. Projects involve discovery and research, wireframing with content strategists, UI and visual design, web developer handoff, and QA review of what is implemented. We are prioritizing senior to director level designers for this role.

More Details:

  • This is a part-time contract role for approximately 15 to 30 hours per week to start
  • The initial period is 3 months, but can be extended or expanded beyond those hours. This engagement has a high potential to grow over time.
  • Designers should be able to communicate and meet within Madeo’s business hours: 10 am–6 pm EST
  • Compensation will vary depending on the designer’s level of experience, role type, and total hours per week. Compensation will be addressed clearly and very early in the interview process to ensure transparency and alignment
